Holiday Weekend

We celebrated the 4th of July with family. We made the trek to Wisconsin to spend the day at my sister's place. She has a beautiful new pool and her landscaping is absolutely amazing! We put on our swimsuits and soaked up the sun for a few hours. Ethan played with his cousins and did a little dancing here and there. His cousin, Grace, had put on some chipmunk dance music and Ethan loved it! Ethan's new obsession is music. He can't get enough of it. We talk about music in the car, the house, in papa's garage, and where ever else music is playing. After we got out of the pool, we had some seriously good food and then we got out the piñata for the kids. It was a total blast. It must of taken the kids twenty minutes to get the piñata down. Once it found it's way to the ground, there was a ton of candy to be had. Ethan immediately found himself a sucker and had right at it. Lot's of sticky fingers. At the end of the celebration, we ate chocolate cake and said our good-byes. By the time we got home, I was exhausted and ready for bed. While the fireworks were crackling in the background, I was packing my tote with scrapbook goods for a trip to Archiver's the following day. All in all, it was a really great holiday!
